City Initiated Projects

Below is a list of proposed/adopted amendments to the McMinnville Comprehensive Plan (Goals & Policies) and Zoning Ordinance.  These amendments require a public hearing before the McMinnville Planning Commission with final adoption by ordinance from the City Council.

The Fox Ridge Road location is one of six areas that are identified for the future development of McMinnville.

This is a legislative amendment initiated by the City of McMinnville to adopt the Yamhill County Transit Area Transit Development Plan as a supplemental document to the McMinnville Transportation System

This is a legislative amendment, initiated by the City of McMinnville, proposing amendments to the McMinnville Comprehensive Plan to adopt the McMinnville OR 99W (NE McDonald Lane to Linfield Avenue)

The City of McMinnville is initiating requirements and procedures for annexation of lands to the City of McMinnville for compliance with the McMinnville Growth Management and Urbanization Plan (MGMUP) and ORS 222, which governs annexations of land into cities in Oregon.

The City of McMinnville is proposing to amend the Zoning Ordinance to (a) add provisions allowing existing single-family dwellings and duplexes as permitted uses in the C-3 zone, (b) establish a City Center Housing Overlay Zone and associated provisions, and (c) add provisions allowing temporary use of an RV as a residence during construction of a permanent dwelling(s) on the same lot.

The City of McMinnville has initiated work to complete a City Center Housing Strategy to provide guidance and recommendations on how the City can achieve its goals of providing housing opportunities for a broad range of generations and incomes in the City’s downtown core and surrounding areas. 

The City of McMinnville has initiated work to determine housing needs for the next 5, 10, 20, and 50 years, and to develop a strategy to meet those needs.  The project involves three major components:
