The City’s current Wastewater Facilities Master Plan was completed in 2009. This planning document guided the City in identifying construction projects to reduce the amount of rain and groundwater entering the sewer system, replace sewer lines and treatment facilities that have exceeded their service lives and construct treatment and conveyance improvements needed to accommodate projected growth.

Recent changes to the Urban Growth Boundary, more stringent environmental requirements and aging infrastructure necessitate updates to the wastewater system planning documents.  The project will also review current sewer service charges and Systems Development Charges (SDC) based on the scope and timing of recommended improvements.
