COWLS ST. SURRY SEAL IS NOW SCHEDULED FOR 7/23/2024 - Section of Cowls from Lincoln St. to 1ST Street

Project Overview

This project consists of slurry seal application on residential streets . Slurry seal is a versatile and cost effective way to preserve and protect the street surface, and it will extend the life of the existing roadway by protecting it from the effects of weathering and wear.

What To Expect

The slurry seal will be applied on warm, dry days, and the slurry seal will dry in several hours. On the day of application the street will be closed to all traffic and no parking will be allowed until the new coating is dry. Watch for construction signs, no parking signs, and informational public notices prior to, and as the work progresses.

Please note that each day that is scheduled during the Slurry Seal Project , there are MULTIPLE streets around town scheduled for slurry. Multiple local neighborhood streets will be closed each day in different areas around town through out the Slurry Seal Project schedule. Each scheduled slurry application day it is important to note that roads will close and work will begin at 7am on the FIRST neighborhood area scheduled for slurry application, slurry will be applied to one section of Neighborhood streets at a time. Once each section of scheduled neighborhood streets is completed, contractors will then move on to the next Neighborhood area and begin work on that section of streets that have been scheduled for slurry.  It is expected for there to be periods of inactivity in your area during scheduled street closures as contractors will be  working through out the day to each scheduled area . it is important to note that day of  slurry application all Streets in all areas scheduled for slurry will close at 7am, remain closed as work is underway and will be reopened to the public to access by 5pm.

July/August 2024. Neighborhood notices will be posted and an additional public notice with detailed project schedule for this area will mailed to residents prior to the start of construction.
