Records Request

Most police reports are public records. There are, however, exceptions such as ongoing investigations and juvenile records.

Obtaining Copies Of Police Reports

To request a police report a public records request will need to be completed and submitted to the McMinnville Police Department. The McMinnville Police Department will respond to all public records requests as soon as possible.  Upon receipt of payment requests will be processed within (7) to ten (10) business days, or provide an explanation of why more time is needed. Copies of police reports are available for purchase via the on-line portal, in our business office Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or mailed to 121 SW Adams Street, McMinnville OR  97128.

All requests must be paid in advance. If you would like the documents mailed to you a self-addressed stamped envelope must be included.  

Copy Charges

$20.00 (for the first 20 pages) $0.50 for each additional page starting at the 21st page

Requests for multiple case numbers will continue to be $20.00 (up to the first 20 pages) and $0.50 for each additional page.

$15.00 per CD, per case requested (Photographs, Video, etc.)

Hourly rates will apply for large or complex requests
