Pam Ramsey Honored by Special Olympics of Oregon

The McMinnville Police Department is proud to announce that Community Support Coordinator, Pam Ramsey, is the recipient of the 2016 Ken Davis Unsung Hero Award given by the Special Olympics of Oregon.

Each year, a special law enforcement volunteer is honored with the Ken Davis Unsung Hero Award.  The award is given annually to a member of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) who exemplifies the standards set by the late Ken Davis for community service and dedication to the mission of Special Olympics Oregon.

Pam time and again gives back to those involved in Special Olympics of Oregon by coordinating McMinnville Police Department’s involvement in the annual “Torch Run” which takes place July 9th, our annual Tip a Cop event hosted at the Golden Valley Brewery, and the newest event to LETR, the Plane Pull event held at the Evergreen campus.  In addition to coordinating MPD’s involvement in LETR events, Pam has also reached out to other law enforcement agencies in Yamhill County to help set up their fund raising events.

Pam will be honored during the opening ceremonies for the 2016 Special Olympics Oregon Summer State Games, being held in Newberg on July 9th.

The McMinnville Police Department would like to congratulate Pam Ramsey for receiving this well deserved honor.  She exemplifies what MPD is all about.
