WORTMAN PARK ART GALLERY

Located within the McMinnville Senior Center, the Wortman Park Art Gallery is a space created to showcase the work of local artists, to encourage local artists with recognition and community support, and to provide an aesthetically pleasing and artistic environment for Center users and the general public. Interested artists should contact Erin Guinn at the McMinnville Senior Center.

KID'S NIGHT OUT

Our talented staff will keep your kids active and entertained at the Community Center. We will have games, activities, crafts and movies. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Pre-registration is required; discount for siblings.

BUNCO

JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION

Celebrate and learn more about Juneteenth with the City of McMinnville! The City of McMinnville Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee will kick off the event with a reading of "The HIstorical Legacy of Juneteenth", then music from Vews and Vibes performance! Through a collaboration of of multi-instrumentalists, VEWS and the VIBES seamlessly bounces between genres and different energies to cultivate a one-of-a-kind experience. From getting people dancing, to supporting the community through creativity enriching events, these guys know how to bring the VIBES! This event will take place in conjunction with Make Music McMinnville and MacFresco!; some seating will be provided or you can bring your own.

GREATHOUSE OF MUSIC

Mark and Helena Greathouse, an international musical performing duo, present their one-hour performance, “You Do Speak English, Don’t You?”, a family friendly, lively cabaret style variety show. The show is basically a love story of how the two met in Europe, eventually married, and moved to
Mark’s native Oregon, where they live today. A Question and-Answer session follows the performance, with Helena sharing what her life was like growing behind the Iron Curtain and making it to the West. The show features Mark’s own songs, Czech folk songs, as well as several familiar songs and parts of instrumental numbers. The songs are all interspersed with short, humorous dialogues highlighting
challenges Helena and Mark have experienced in their lives as a Czech-American couple.

SPICE UP YOUR LIFE

Have you ever wanted to try a new recipe, but didn't want to buy a new ingredient, because you weren't sure you'd use it again? Now you can try it before you buy it! Kits will be available upstairs near the Library of Things. Kits will include a featured spice, recipe suggestions and other information as needed. Limted number of kits are available -based on first come, first served.

NICE TO MEAT YOU MEATLOAF LUNCH

TACO TIME

If build your own Taco on National Dimple Day doesn't make you smile, then nothing will! A soft flour tortilla with chicken or beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, with mild, medium, and hot cha-cha salsa to choose from. Sides of taco seasoned tater tots and refried beans with churros for dessert. Sign-up and  pre-pay at the Friends' Kiosk by July 3rd. Hosts: Friends of the McMinnville Senior Center.

It's a FREE Ice Cream Social on National Vanilla Ice Cream Day! You'll get a generous helping of high-quality vanilla ice cream and a plethora of different toppings to make your own delicious bowl of high fat and carbs! Popsicles and ice cream sandwiches will be available too...while supplies last! We'll have some pink lemonade and wafer cookies too! Open to all ages. BINGO BASH FUNDRAISER

Join us for lunch, stay for Bingo. Bingo is fun with cash prizes ranging from $5 to $100! There is a $20 buy-in which gets you 3 reusable hard cards (extra cards are $2 each while supplies last). We will play 25 games ending with a black-out for $100. Lunch will be between 11:30 and 12:30 for $5. Diner should sign-up and pre-pay at the Friends' Kiosk 2-days prior to event. For Bingo only, doors open at 12:30, games start at 1:00pm to 4:00pm and there will be a 50/50 Raffle! Hosts: Friends of the McMinnville Senior Center.
