Chegwyn Farms Neighborhood Park
This four acre-park is intended for neighborhood use but is a great destination for families and very small groups with young children. The “farm theme,” celebrating McMinnville’s agricultural history, allows children to climb through a barn, play on a John Deere tractor, or ride a chicken! Swing sets, picnic shelter, basketball court, park pathways (.45 mile paved) and plenty of lawn turf open space are all available for play. The park is named in honor of Charles and sister Agnes Chegwyn who approved the park being constructed on part of the larger 185 acre Chegwyn Conservation easement created to preserve their family’s farmland in NE McMinnville. Single occupancy restroom available. Playground equipment serves ages 2-12. Dogs prohibited in playground areas. Dogs must remain leashed; off-leash activities prohibited. Park opened in 2011.
