K9

The McMinnville Police Department equips and maintains three K-9 teams. These teams consist of a designated patrol Officer “Handler”, and their K-9 partner. The Police Department currently has one patrol/tracking K-9 teams and two drug detection K-9 teams.

Flags for our Veterans

During a recent death investigation, a McMinnville police officer discovered that the deceased was a veteran. In an effort to show respect, both to the deceased veteran and to the surviving family, this officer left the scene, purchased a national flag and returned to the residence. The flag was placed respectfully over the deceased veteran for the transport from the residence to the funeral home.
