Memorial and Celebration Books

Celebration Books

Need an idea to celebrate someone’s life, birthday, promotion, anniversary, or other happy event? The Friends of the Library’s Celebration Book program is a great option! Your donation in honor of the person (and optionally, event) will purchase one or more books for the library. Your name and theirs will appear on a bookplate in the front of each book.

Memorial Books

Would you like to honor the memory of a family member or friend? Consider a donation to fund purchase of one or more Memorial Books as a tribute to the life of the one you wish to honor. Your name and theirs will appear on a bookplate in the front of each book.

When possible, the interests of the commemorated person will be reflected in the subject matter of the item(s) purchased. For example large print books, children’s books, travel, cooking, wildlife. Selections are made by library staff who are most familiar with the needs of the collection.

To fund purchase of one or more Memorial or Celebration Books, fill out the form and mail or bring it with your check made out to the Friends of the Library to:
